The Advisory Program utilizes over 30 interactive exercises based in youth     development to create a safe and positive environment, foster a trusting relationship between teacher and student’s well being, and engages students in     lesson plans that build self esteem, peer bonding, self-knowledge, self-   advocacy, guiding them in learning and practicing social, academic and life    skills enabling them to demonstrate mastery. Topics include Communication      skills, Teamwork, Conflict Management, Personal/Social Responsibility, Goal Setting, Life Skills and Study/Test Taking Skills. Competency in these topics facilitates students’ development of emotional and social intelligence and      supports them in building their academic skills and knowledge.
